There are only 2 things I liked about this place, how close it was to the entrance to Acadia Natl Park and the view of the ocean.

So much to say, not enough key strokes to say it. It is supposed to be a "Resort", not so, the lobby looks like a resort, but that's it! Room was so, in Restaurant was over priced. We payed over $250/nite for our room..NO Breakfast included. Laundry, 2 washers did not work, detergent machine out of order, change machine worked sometimes...workout room looked like it had not been vacuumed for weeks. We stayed 3 nites and not once did I see any of the hallways vacuumed. We had issues getting packets of coffee for our in room coffee maker, we were told they were out, then when I pushed the issue, they miraculously appeared at our room. Hampton is much better!

Comforable beds/clean rooms. Heated outdoor pool and spa.

No continental breakfast although there was a small refrigerator if you wanted to purchase anything to eat from the grocery store.

The location to the town of Bar Harbor is a short drive and the facility is visually appealing.

The main restaurant is closed between breakfast & dinner, there is no lunch service and no bar facility within the hotel. (There is an outside mini service facility for light lunch and bar service). The gift/convenience store seems to open & close at will and seemimngly remains closed more hours than open. The location name used is not the same as the sign making recognition while driving difficult (it took three u-turns and asking for directions to find the exact location, this with a gps!)

the pool and hot tub were great. the hotel and rooms were very clean. staff helpul and couteous.

paid alot of money for my oceanview room and there was no room to sit and enjoy the view on the balcony in room 434-it was only 2 1/2 feet deep AND it was shared with th e roomnext door.

Location, view of coast and value were all important to us - staff was pleasant and friendly

our ocean view room looked out over the kitchen roof including chimneys/vents -

Stewman's Restaurant was GREAT! Room view w/ Balcony was very pleasant.

Hotel had just opened for the season the day we arrived. Main Resstaurant was not open, Staff was still learning jobs. There was no amenities book in the room. Never did find the Sauna. Hot tub was 100 yds from room and way outside.

The location to Acadia and Bar Harbor was perfect!! We were impressed with the beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations!

We had one unsettling incident. We returned to our room #714 around 4:00 in the afternoon ( 9 / 9 / 2012) to find the door wide opened and the bathroom fan and light on. It was cleaned, no staff was around!! We knocked on our neighbors room and she said their room had been cleaned 30 minutes before. So we assume the cleaning staff had forgotten to make sure our room door was locked. We checked all our luggage and did not find anything missings, however , we had IPads in a carry on in the room. I assume we will not have any further surprises because of this situation. My husband reported this to the front desk and we received a call from someone on staff with an apology. It was a very uncomfortable feeling , security is important to us. A aside from this incident, our stay was perfect. Your resort exceeded our expectations!

The location was convenient & the grounds were beautiful.

The restaurant/lounge on Sat. Was understaffed.

The hotel is nice, as long as you are not in the "Eden house".

If everything the grounds had to offer was open. The ocean side eating, and the lobster shack where not even open. Further more they put us in a handicap room with no tub. The shower would soak the floor every time you took a shower. The pictures of the grounds in no way show the "Eden house" which for nearly $200 dollars a night room 1017 came without a tub and a beautiful view of the parking lot. When in the room we had to keep the curtains closed at all times, as people could look right in. Lastly a piece of landscape lighting was literally aimed right at our widow. The first night was basically a well lit evening. I took care of that personally by turning the light away from the window. All in all, extremely over priced.....would not stay again. Found other places for a fraction of the price. Wont be fooled again by the pictures.

    Very good

Nearness to ocean. Fitness area and computer very good. Front desk staff pleasant and helpful.

Staff cleaning rooms were very vocal in the morning. Room a tad musty smell. And 2 bugs found in room.

The locale was nice and the staff was good. Josh in the tiki bar was a great bartender.

The breakfast buffet was overpriced for pretty bad food.

  • 9.2

Friendly and helpful staff. Large room with nice bathroom. Beautifully kept grounds. Great pool area. View of bay is wonderful.

Would have appreciated complimentary coffee and tea but it's just a nit.

    The view

Restaurant staff super slow. Overpriced with no luxury. Bad food. Tiny fridge. Smelly hallways. We thought the Procter building sounded nice until we got to it. No elevator. Noisy rickety ice maker on the 3rd flr. Should of stayed at the KOA down the street. Pretty much sums it up.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, loved the free shuttle to town, beautiful hotel!

The restaurant was a bit pricey, it would be nice to also have a more casual dining option.

  • 8.2

Very nicely located, calm, and clean

    No sea access
